I don’t know about you, but engagement sessions near any body of water always make me swoon. This one was especially hot and humid (Thanks, Iowa!), but you’d never know it because they’re real-life rock star models. (Okay, I just made that up… but they should be!)

Anytime I get a bride and groom who are as comfortable as they are with canoodling, I thank my lucky stars! (Shameless request: if you and the love-of-your-life are professional canoodlers, HIRE ME to be your wedding photographer!!)

Katie + Brandon’s wedding is next month at the beautiful Evergreen Lake House in Colorado! These two had me doubled over in laughter the entire engagement session. I can only imagine how much fun it will be when they tie the knot!!

Everything – even down to the socks – can be purchased, rented, made, etc., for YOUR wedding. Even the cocktails were real!

Mother’s Day Session | Iowa City Family Photographer

I met Dani at the very first wedding I shot (Almost 5 years ago now!) and every time we get the chance to hang out, we become closer friends. I was THRILLED when Dani contacted me to do session with her daughter as a Mother’s Day gift to herself. One of the qualities I love most about her is how dedicated she is to her daughter. As a single mom who works her butt off, she wanted beautiful portraits of her daughter to be hung on the wall in her new home (and she needs a modeling gig, for sure!). Her little girl, Savannah, is the epitome of a natural beauty. Wonder who she got that from? *wink wink*
I was quickly reminded of my own daughter at that age, and looking through these images, I only regret not having a “good” camera when she was this little. Now I have another blonde haired beauty to photograph when I’m feeling nostalgic!
