    I can’t begin to explain how much it means to me to have another photographer (and friend) ask you to take photos for her, especially when they’re to document the love she has for her best friend.

    Jen and Einstein spent many years together and he was the love of her life.  (All you pet owners KNOW what I’m talking about – THEY ARE FAMILY!)

    This sunset and wildflowers session with her and her sweet puppy were the last professional photos she has with him.  I know her heart aches now that he’s gone, but there’s no doubt he’s running around barking at everything in that cute, raspy bark of his up in doggy heaven and getting all the warm snuggles he needs.

    Mother’s Day Session | Iowa City Family Photographer

    I met Dani at the very first wedding I shot (Almost 5 years ago now!) and every time we get the chance to hang out, we become closer friends.  I was THRILLED when Dani contacted me to do session with her daughter as a Mother’s Day gift to herself.  One of the qualities I love most about her is how dedicated she is to her daughter.  As a single mom who works her butt off, she wanted beautiful portraits of her daughter to be hung on the wall in her new home (and she needs a modeling gig, for sure!).  Her little girl, Savannah, is the epitome of a natural beauty.  Wonder who she got that from? *wink wink*
    I was quickly reminded of my own daughter at that age, and looking through these images, I only regret not having a “good” camera when she was this little.  Now I have another blonde haired beauty to photograph when I’m feeling nostalgic!
